WebThe Coast Starlight is a long-distance route with total trip time of about 35 hours. The train uses Superliner rail cars that have two levels (almost all coach seats are on the upper level). Business class seating is an option, which can be quieter and less crowded than coach cars. WebCoast Starlight business class seats are nice Superliner coach seats except they are "leather". Business Class on the Starlight is usually not crowded and the seats are larger and recline more than the Cascades business class seats. The only advantage in seating is the Cascades offer 2+1 seating, but if it is not crowded, that does not matter.
