I have had my 1800 got hot in slow traffic, but not while moving. I think that brings to light why rigging a manual circuit to the fans is not a feasible idea.

I would however talk honestly with the good folks at Traxxion about what your wishes are, concerning handling, weight carrying capability, and ride.
