WebDec 16, 2024 · The xsession file is generated in the users home directory, and it looks fine. It works correctly if I use lightdm, but the xsession is ignored and I get logged in to Gnome if I use gdm. (This is only a partial fix for me - I need gdm, as lightdm is missing a bunch of features I make use of.) WebLightDM seems a bit confused about what type of session to launch, or so say the logs.. I have nixos start the xserver at boot for me by specifying services.xserver.enable = true. I then install i3 from home-manager and in my config there I specify xsession.windowmanager.i3.enable = true and all the other details.
