WebTalk SMEP to me. So I read about SMEP and so am giving it a go this month 🤞🏻 it’s ovulation day (I think) and essentially we were far too keen (again- happens every month!) I think we’ve pretty much dtd every day this week and we are EXHAUSTED. Haven’t (and don’t plan to) mentioned to poor hubs that I’m hoping to go again ... Web8 May 2024 · It seems like the SMEP focuses more on BD during and after ovulation when I've always heard that you want as much sperm as possible to already be there by the time the egg is released? The egg only lives for 12-24 hours so personally I wouldn’t only BD every two days in case I miss it (although apparently sperm can survive for up to five days). I would suggest using a fertility lubricant like preseed.

Web31 Jul 2014 · I tried SMEP for two months. The first month, I didn't really keep to schedule, needless to fail I wasn't expecting a BFP that month. The next month I followed SMEP to the T! I started dtd from day 5 of my cycle and did it three times in a row a few days later. I used OPKs and was ovulating early. Managed to get my BFP!
